About PPWHF

Mission

PPWHF supports the development and training of female hockey players in the Pikes Peak Region through competitive activities and outreach programming for women of all ages.

Overview

Established in 2002, the Pikes Peak Women’s Hockey Foundation, Inc. is a registered nonprofit corporation in the State of Colorado and a member of the Women’s Association of Colorado Hockey (WACH). The various PPWHF teams are all known as the “Wolves”: Silverwolves, Timberwolves. Arcticwolves, and Gray Wolves.

Membership

PPWHF membership is open to all adult women who support the Foundation’s mission.

On average, more than 80 adult women of all ages and skill levels-- from first-year college students looking to continue fitness in their adult life, to hockey moms in their 40s putting on skates for the first time, to 60-year-old veterans who’ve played hockey the majority of their life -- participate with the Wolves every season.

These women represent a large cross-section of the community, including: doctors, teachers, military members, small business owners, engineers, college students, real estate agents, massage therapists, medical professionals, and so much more.
